"We all have our demons, don't we?"

Everyone thinks Rowan is fine. Healthy and happy. Normal, even. But they have no idea about the silent battle she wages. Can't see what she sees hovering over her shoulder. Can't feel what she feels, caught in its grip. Can't hear the poison spewing from the creature's lips.
 
Rowan is anything but safe. Her worst nightmare is always there. The unseen shadow haunts her every step, weighing her down and threatening to squeeze the life out of her with each passing moment.
 
Alone even though she's surrounded by friends and family, every day is a struggle to survive. Her armor is cracking and her will is weakening by the second. How long can she fight the shadow before it drags her down when she's already holding on by her fingertips?
