An Update From Samantha

Hello, everyone! I know I haven't posted here in a little while, so I wanted to take a moment to check in. Spooky September is finally here, and I'm so glad to see the seasons changing. The leaves are beginning to turn, the air is getting cooler, apple cider and pumpkin drinks are back, and soon it'll be Halloween, my favorite holiday!

As always, life around my house has been crazy. Between signing events, releasing a new short story ("As Brittle As Bone"), drafting another short story for Sinful Signings 2026 and Legacy of Lies when I can, Friday Night Writes, back-to-school days, and now editing for a colleague, I've been absolutely swamped. Sorry I've been absent!

Here's what I'm up to lately in case you wanted to stay in the loop. :)

Personal Goals:

• Keeping healthy while the weather changes

• Getting into a functional routine now that both of my children are in school

• Continuing to read books

• Resting when I can (because I'm terrible at taking breaks)

Author Life:

• Roughly 50% through my next short story for the 2026 Sinful Signings charity anthology, another in the For the Dark and Depraved series

• Still trying to get more Legacy of Lies to my alpha readers. (Thank you for your patience with this!)

• Commissioned and commissioning new character art for the Cursed Souls series

• Producing audiobooks for Apothecary of Curiosities: Volume One and Wicked Little Rabbit

• Adding a few more signings to the tour for 2025

• Scheduling signings for 2026

• Working with local Barnes & Noble locations

Editor Life:

• Editing Beyond the Veil for Evie Black

• Preparing to edit J. Silverton's next short story for Sinful Signings 2026
